Family Forest Owners

Of the 751 million acres of forest land in the United States, 56% is privately owned. About 62% of this private forest land is owned by families and individuals, referred to as family forests. America's 10 million family forest owners play an important role in the protection and sustainable management of southern forests while facing ever-increasing pressures and challenges. Mellette Forestry Group works with family forest owners to understand their needs and concerns and help them reach their goals and objectives.
